"God's Little Oak Warriors"
Ages 6 weeks - 10 years

Our children’s ministry team is committed to providing our parents with a safe, loving, enriching, Christian environment to leave their children, while they participate in adult worship. Our children are nurtured in such a way that their knowledge of and love for Christ grows into a mature faith. Parents can rest assured that their child will learn to navigate and understand the Bible. The child will know what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. The “I Want to Be on the Big God Team” booklet will help the parent(s) and child to learn more about Jesus. The booklet will confirm that the child is ready to become one of “God’s Little Oak Warriors.” Pastor ‘Turnip’ Green’s comical style, as you can tell by his assigned name, truly proves he’s a big kid at heart. It is comforting to know that our children are safe and most of all learning and growing in Jesus Christ with joy and enthusiasm.

YOUTH MINISTRY

 

"Making Disciples...One Youth At A Time"
Ages 11 - 18 years

We owe our youth more than a bible, a song and a prayer – we must help develop their characters and assist in winning their lost souls to Christ.  W.O.W. (Wide Open Worship) is just a small instrument we use to deepen student relationships with Christ, to allow them to express their talents and spiritual gifts, in order to offer biblical responses to their difficult life choices.

PULSE HEALTH MINISTRY

 

Pulse Health Ministry.  Our experienced certified nurses provide a culture of wellness that assist with keeping our physical body (God’s temple) in a good healthy form.  The Pulse actively offers basic wellness service, advice and pertinent information regarding the inner and outer person’s health concerns.

COMMUNITY ACTION MINISTRY

 

This very rewarding ministry promotes summer internship employment for our youth by partnering up with several government and private sector companies. The emphasis is that Oak Spring employs the youth and the businesses receives the service, while the student absorbs the knowledge, the skill and the career experience.

We pray for God’s anointing over our instruments and our voices to usher in the Holy Spirit through music and song each time we sing. Desiring that God gets the Glory, we worship Him in spirit and in truth.

This beautiful ministry gives warning against enticement; propose godly advice, direction and wisdom to more youthful partners when and/or if the need occurs.

These particular ministries are full of eager volunteers, who are organized with friendliness.  Focuses on the needs of all who enter the doors, smiling, embracing individuals, and offering a Christian hug. Also, demonstrating a willing heart to serve and accommodating the nutriment of everyone. Their charge is to serve with enthusiasm and care, imitating Christ’s humility, while giving directions and catering to the needs of the congregation.

SECURITY MINISTRY

 

As a growing congregation we had to accept the realization of the unfair ways of the world by being mindful and watchful of people, traffic and the way finance was being transitioned. This prompted us to incorporate a security ministry that is licensed, bonded, highly trained and armed.  In addition, we broadened protection by adding inside & outside HD recording video cameras.

This dedicated ministry’s mission is to minister God’s message through every available aspect of multi-media. The media ministry is not for the faint of heart or timid in spirit. It requires commitment, an eye for detail, an ear for perfect sound, an understanding of equipment from analog to digital, and an intricate attention to detail. We desire to provide multi-media that is worthy of the true worship of Jesus Christ.

SUMMER CAMP

 

Our Spring Annual Summer Enrichment Day Camp strives to provide children and youth of the surrounding communities with a safe, clean, spiritually rich place to play, learn, and grow. We offer serval weeks of summer filled fun based on academics, enrichment and recreational activities to youth ages 4 to15 years old. The Summer Camp Staff consists of certified Teachers, Teacher’s Assistants and Camp Counselors. Special group facilitators provide classes in Music Appreciation, Self-Enrichment, Arts & Crafts, Healthy Living, Sports & Fitness, Computer Activities, and Financial Literacy, etc...
